WHY US, WHY YOU & WHY NOW?
The Cresco Foundation exists to support the people behind agriculture and equestrianism.

We believe that the health and wellbeing of the people who keep these industries moving matters just as much as the work they do. From farmers and farm workers to equestrians, contractors, vets, suppliers, families and the businesses that support them — we want to make sure that no one has to face mental ill health, addiction, financial difficulties or a crisis alone.

Our work focuses on mental health and wellbeing, suicide prevention, substance misuse, financial wellbeing and early intervention, providing accessible support for people when they need it most.
But support is about more than simply being there when someone reaches crisis point. We want to help build communities where people feel connected, understood and able to ask for help without fear of judgement.

Everyone has a place here
Agricultural and equestrian communities are diverse, but not everyone experiences them in the same way.
We are committed to creating a more inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds, identities and abilities feel welcomed, respected and valued.
Whether someone is struggling with their mental health, facing financial pressure, experiencing isolation, dealing with substance misuse or simply needs someone to talk to, we want Cresco to be a place where they can reach out without fear of stigma, prejudice or discrimination.

We believe that effective support starts with understanding. That's why we work with the communities we serve, listen to their experiences and use research and evidence to help shape what we do.

Who we support
Cresco is here for the wider agricultural and equestrian communities.

That includes people directly working within these industries, as well as contractors, suppliers, retailers, businesses, professionals and organisations working alongside them.

It also includes the people around them — families, friends and wider support networks.
Because when one person struggles, the impact can reach far beyond the individual.

Our vision
We want to help create agricultural and equestrian communities that are stronger, more connected and more resilient.

Communities where talking about mental health is normal.
Where asking for help is seen as a strength.
Where people know where to turn before they reach crisis point.
And where everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, feels that they belong.
Because no one should have to face it alone.
OUR CORE VALUES
INCLUSION
Everyone deserves to feel that they belong. We challenge stigma, discrimination and exclusion and strive to make our communities welcoming to all.
COMPASSION
We listen without judgement and meet people where they are. We treat every person with empathy, dignity and respect.
COURAGE
We aren't afraid to have difficult conversations. We challenge the status quo, speak openly about mental health and tackle issues that are often left unspoken.
CONNECTION
People shouldn't have to face difficult times alone. We build stronger connections between individuals, communities and the organisations that support them.
